Why We're Different

There is not just one reason why Careful is different. We have the technology to list and store information about your garments including producing an invoice indicating the exact description of the item, such as colour, type of material, any remarks as to the incoming condition of the article (i.e. missing button, tears, etc.). This information is protected and is not accessible to the internet. We tag your garments with a fabric fastener, rather than a staple (which can rust and stain the garment, or cause snags and tears). We secure the fastener in a place that will not damage the fabric (i.e. through a buttonhole, care label, tail of the garment, inside lining). We inspect your garments when checked in.

Our Dry Cleaning is carefully controlled. We separate the loads placed in the machine into categories such as lights, darks, heavy and delicate. We distill our solvent continuously to prevent graying and re-deposition which results in the whites staying white. We do not cut short our drying cycles ensuring solvent does not go home with your clothes. There are never any solvent odours in the plant or the depots.

Our Signature Shirt Service, extends the life of your shirts by properly washing and pressing your shirts. We do not shrink collars or cuffs. Your collars and cuffs are pre-spotted when required. All our shirts are hand- finished to give the shirt that "like new" appearance. Starched shirts have only the collars and cuffs starched. French Cuffs are neatly and expertly folded. Shirt studs are used to hold the cuffs in place. Collar supports and collar stays are available. Our folded shirts are folded by hand and individually put in plastic bags with tissue. Broken buttons are replaced free of charge.

We provide Wet Cleaning services for those customers that want a Green Clean process or for those customers that may have allergic reactions to any solvent. We use thicker hangers to prevent garments from falling off. We use plastic hangers for skirts since we do not pin skirts to hangers which prevents damage.

Our padding and covers on the presses are changed regularly and are pliant to ensure proper pressing and prevent shine. We finish your garments with a hand iron to eliminate any pleat, pocket or button impressions left behind. We use biodegradable packaging and re-usable garment bags where possible. We inspect garments before packaging for stains, missing or broken buttons, loose hems or linings, belt loops, and repair them. We use tissue with our packaging to prevent creasing during transport and also from getting soiled again.

Careful will process your garments with the utmost care to insure that you get years of service from your clothing investment. We meet or exceed all governement regulations applicable to the dry cleaning industry.

Tests performed at North Carolina State University proved that regular professional dry cleaning lengthens the life of your garments.
